This is the second painting in a series done with small objects (those with special meanings to me) and simple layouts. I paired the peppers with the stripped dish towel and it gave the painting a festival feel. The jar was a long ago thrift store find – they had it sitting in a window with the sun shinning through it – of course I had to take it home … where it usually sits in my kitchen window. This still life was something nice to paint during this very cold Asheville winter!
