I tested out my paint out set up by heading into my own garden during the spring when the crab apple tree was blooming. It was am odd angle – looking down the hill with background going back up the hill. Most of the painting was done on site, but I did do some touch up in the studio. This was the first time I actually painted in my garden – any other paintings I’ve done of my garden were done from my photographs.
